Julia Boberg

Julia Boberg is a New York City based dancer and choreographer originally from Los Angeles, California. Julia’s choreography was selected to be a featured work at Assemblée Internationale 2023 hosted by Canada’s National Ballet School. In 2020, her work was selected to be featured at New Century Dance Project and in 2019, she received an Artist Merit Award from the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. Julia’s personal choreographic projects of note include a Virtual Dance Concert, Organic Unity, which she directed and produced in May of 2020, and a short film, You Are Your Home, featuring dancers from The Ailey School and filmed in various locations around New York City.

Julia’s performance highlights encompass performing works by Jose Limón, Robert Battle, Maleek Washington, Jacob Jonas, Juel Lane, and Morgan Clune. Julia’s breadth of experience in the arts also includes training in violin at The Colburn School, acting at Gary Spatz’s Acting Conservatory: The Playground, and visual arts at Mission Renaissance.

Julia is currently finishing her senior year in the Ailey/Fordham program where she will be graduating with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Visual Art. Julia is eager to connect her artistic interests, imagining innovative ways for collaboration to occur between art forms, making dance even more vibrant, accessible and inclusive.
